Media Map configurable web apps embedded into ArcGIS StoryMaps do not load when the apps are not shared publicly and the credentials are not cached in Portal for ArcGIS 10.8.1.

Additional Information
This issue will not be addressed for older versions of Portal for ArcGIS or the older configurable apps.Workaround
Use one of the workarounds below:
- Share the Media Map publicly as recommended in the ArcGIS StoryMaps: Add media documentation. When embedding content in a story, it is best to use a web page or app from a public website that does not require a login.
- Embed a different configurable app template such as Basic Viewer or ArcGIS Web AppBuilder.
- Upgrade to ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.1.
