This is a limitation in Map Viewer Classic (3.x JS SDK) that will not be addressed. Map Viewer Classic is now deprecated (https://support.esri.com/en-us/knowledge-base/deprecation-map-viewer-classic-deprecation-000030662). This issue is not reproducible in Map Viewer (4.x JS SDK). We recommend users use Map Viewer for all their workflows.Workaround
- Use a feature layer instead of a map image layer.
- Use the new Map Viewer rather than Map Viewer Classic.
