Workaround
Workaround 1: Sign out of the ArcGIS Field Maps app and sign back in. After this, location sharing is available and can be toggled on. This workaround is not useful in offline areas as in order to reenable location sharing, cell data or wifi is required.
Workaround 2:
- Open ArcGIS Field Maps at the beginning of the workday.
- Turn on location sharing.
- Turn on airplane mode before going to weak or no signal areas.
- Turn off airplane mode at the end of the workday in an area with a strong signal to sync tracks.
- Turn off location tracking.
- Close the ArcGIS Field Maps app for the day.
