Additional Information

As of ArcGIS Pro 3.5, the broken feature layer will remain in the Contents pane if 'Do not remove layers (fastest)' is set in Map & Scene options, but the attribute table can no longer be opened, thereby seeing this error message. Additionally, the standard red exclamation point (!) will appear next to its name.

Workaround

Choose to remove corresponding layers in maps using the Options, reverting to the default behavior pre-3.3. Refer to this documentation https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/mapping/properties/default-settings-for-new-maps-and-scenes.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_8CA00BECA1534B5DA581163F6D4D4E33:~:text=The%20When%20data%20sources%20are,analysis.%20This%20is%20the%20default for more information.
