Bug

Item storage sizes are displaying incorrectly using base-10 units (1000 bytes equals to 1 kilobyte) instead of base-2 units (1024 bytes equals to 1 kilobyte) when ArcGIS Online uses base-2 unit storage for storage and credit calculations.

Workaround

Bytes between the two scales are interchangeable. Until this bug is resolved, manually convert the item storage sizes from base-10 units (incorrect size displayed on the Item Details page) to base-2 units (the true size of the item as stored and charged in ArcGIS Online) through the following steps:

1. Convert the item storage sizes from megabytes in base-10 units to kilobytes in base-10 units, then convert them to bytes in base-10 units.

  1. [size in megabytes in base-10 units as displayed on Item Details page] is multiplied by 1,000. This converts the value displayed to [size in kilobytes in base-10 units].
    1. [size in base-10 kilobytes] is multiplied by 1,000. This converts the value to [size in bytes in base-10 units].

2. Convert the item storage sizes from bytes in base-10 units to kilobytes in base-2 units, then convert them to megabytes in base-2 units.

  1. [size in bytes in base-10 units] is divided by 1,024. This converts the value to [size in kilobytes in base-2 units].
    1. [size in kilobytes in base-2 units] is divided by 1,024. This converts the value to [size in megabytes in base-2 units].
