Additional Information

Groups are unique based on their item ID rather than their group name. The system allows groups with the same name. When creating a group, the system tries to stop the user from creating a group with the same name but it is permissible to update the group name or create a group via the sharing API with the same name. The group's item ID is the unique identifier.
