It is not possible to start an ArcSDE service from the client machine using the 'sdemon -o start' command. The following error message appears: "Error: Service 5151 doesn't exist on lab5. Operation Failed, Unable to start iomgr." It is possible to start ArcSDE service directly on the ArcSDE server.
