Workaround
Project the data before building the TIN. If creating the TIN in ArcMap via the 3D Toolbar make sure the only data in the document is projected to ensure the output TIN will also be in projected coords.1. Making a delaunay TIN using geographic coordinates is not valid.2. The internal precision values used by TIN searching, triangulating, and interpolating are designed for projected data, not geographic.
