Workaround
Sliding or activating the visibility range on the Map Viewer Classic.
- ArcGIS Pro 3.4: Publish a group layer as a referenced map service (using data features exported from Living Atlas for example).
- Map Viewer Classic: Open the group map image layer in Map Viewer Classic and save it as a web map named ImageLayer2.
- Note: this step does involve checking the visibility range. Adjust the visibility range for your layers by selecting the ellipsis (...) for your layer and selecting Set Visibility Range. Adjust the visibility as needed before saving.
- Create a web app for the web map in Web AppBuilder (In Overview then Create Web App), saving it with the same name.
- Web AppBuilder: Launch the web app as is; Try to change levels of detail on individual layers of the group image layer (by selecting Layer List on the top right of the application).
- Attempt to adjust the visibility range by clicking on a layer's ellipsis (...) and selecting Set visibility range, adjusting the resulting bar. The visibility range function does work as expected (layer disappears/appears as expected).
