Snapping rules are set by the group template's primary template, and the review of the steps indicates the group templates are snapping as expected. Reproducible steps seem to be describing 2 cases. Case 1: Allowed to snap (and that is unexpected to the user). They used a group template that placed a Tee feature in the midspan of the main line, and the Tee feature is placed at the end of the line they create (midspan of the other line). This is for connectivity in midspan. They can snap because of the edge connectivity policy and rules. This is as designed. If they do not use the endpoint with Tee feature. They are snapping to the main line and creating main lines. So even if they start the line by snapping to the main line, then they are allowed to snap. As designed. This has nothing to do with group templates. They can try just by using/creating the main line without a group template. The outcome is the same. Case 2: Not allowed to snap (also unexpected to user). The primary feature template in the Group Template is a residential line. They try to snap a residential line directly to a main line. This is not allowed according to the rules. As designed. They can place a service valve as primary, and then they can snap to the main. This will be the correct group template for the above.Steps to Reproduce
