Additional Information

The Maplex Label Engine is working correctly, and the label is oriented to the line. As a workaround, create a copy of the line feature class, use the Flip geoprocessing tool to flip the direction of the line features, and add this feature class to the map with the original one. Then, create a label class for each feature class with the labels following the direction of the lines.
