Workaround
There is no workaround consisting of both basemaps in ArcGIS Instant App displaying the correct branding. A note in the application informs that, despite only one thumbnail showing "Esri Canada" for example, both maps are Esri Canada’s Community Maps.
Possible Workaround: Using a cached map service for the initial map results in both thumbnails displaying correctly.
