In the Layer Showcase web app, the option to use the default basemap defined in ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS, and the option to use the map extent of the web map does not work.

Additional Information
The default basemap in Organization is used in the app by default, unless specified otherwise. This is done by choosing a web map that contains a different basemap. For the map extent, the configuration does not state that choosing a web map changes the default extent. Use the Specify a custom start location option.Workaround
Use the Specify a custom start location option in the General tab.
