Workaround

The Field name to be sorted must be exactly the same as the previous RLF file in the new attribute table. It is case sensitive. The steps below describe the process for sorting a Population field, 'POP1990' as an example. 1. Open the new attribute table with the population field name as ‘Population.’2. Add a new Field, with a field name (such as POP19900 and field data type (such as 'Long'), that is the same as the report field.3. Right-click the new field ‘POP1990’ and select the Calculate field.4. Type the expression, ‘POP1990 = Population’, so the data from the field Population is copied to the new field, 'POP1990.'5. The POP1990 field can be sorted once the RLF file is loaded in the Report Wizard, after specifying that the POP1990 in the new file is equivalent to the old POP1990. This is quicker than generating each report from scratch.
