Additional Information

This behavior is as designed, as the default behavior in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Desktop for a required field is to assign a default value of a blank field or 0 when a value is not provided manually. This behavior can be resolved by opening the published web map in ArcGIS Field Maps Designer and removing the blank space from the Required field's Template Default Values.
