In SQL Server, the 'SHAPE.Length()' and 'SHAPE.Area()' fields generate an error while attempting to create reports in ArcMap due to the parentheses in the field name.

Currently, there are no plans to address this issue.

Workaround

1. Add a query layer in ArcMap by going to File > Add Data > Add Query Layer.2. Type in the following query: select *, SHAPE.STLength() AS LENGTH from <table_evw>.
