Workaround
Deploy the 10.6 Map Journal/Series template to the Portal for ArcGIS 10.5.1 machine:1. Navigate to C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Portal\apps on the Portal machine
2. Rename MapJournal to MapJournal_OLD (MapSeries to MapSeries_OLD)
3. Extract the 10.6 MapJournal.zip (MapSeries.zip) to C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Portal\apps, making sure the source contents are not in a nested folderThe 10.6 versions of the apps can be obtained from C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Portal\apps\templatesrc from a 10.6 portal installation in-house.
