In Layer Properties > Symbology tab, if users first select a color ramp and then add all the unique values for symbology, the color for the symbology does not appear as it does in the color ramp from left to right; the colors in the symbols appear random.

Additional Information

Unique value ramp selection is typically used with random ramps, so sampling is not uniform.

Workaround

Add all the values first then select a color ramp.
