In Collector for ArcGIS (Aurora), when creating and downloading a new area of interest for offline use on a mobile device, no file size estimate is present.

This is expected behavior in Collector for ArcGIS when following the on-demand workflow for creating offline areas directly within the app itself. No estimates can be provided while the offline area is getting generated and all the necessary packages are being created for offline. Once the job has completed and the offline area is generated, the size of the download can be provided. It is recommended in this case to utilize the pre-plannned workflow for generating the offline map areas through ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise 10.7. This functionality is available directly within the web map settings and allows the creation of offline areas and then download them in Collector for ArcGIS. Because those offline area packages have already been created for the web map, users sees the file sizes for the available offline areas before downloading them.
