In ArcObjects, incorrect feature geometry is returned from VPF feature classes when there are overlapping polygon features.

Additional Information

If the user inspect the geometry closely, there are two parts of the polygon oriented counter-clockwise, and thus output as holes. The original data has the problem thus causes the output not as expected by the user. The customer might need to correct the data to make it topologically correct.

Workaround

Programmatically modify the geometry of the self-intersecting polygon to remove the two inner rings, leaving only one outer ring.
