In ArcMap, defining classes in label properties with SQL expressions and setting the placement properties to ‘Boundary placement’ does not reflect the labels on the feature layer in the Data view.

Additional Information

The SQL query prevents the other part of the pair from displaying (it does not fit the query). With boundary labelling, if both parts of the pair do not fit, neither one draws. If the 'Allow single sided boundary' labeling option is checked, the label that fits the SQL query appears.
