In ArcMap 10.2.1, deleting an address locator in a file geodatabase using the Delete tool from the Data Management toolbox does not delete the address locator.

Workaround

1. Open ArcCatalog.2. Navigate to the address locator.3. Right-click and delete the address locator.ORIn Python using the shutil.rmtree() command, but delete the entire folder that the locator is in
