In ArcMap 10.1 SP1, when placing points near the edge of a polygon using the Cut Polygons tool from the Editor toolbar, the following message is displayed, "The Cut Polygons task could not be completed. A polygon cut operation could not classify all parts of the polygon as left or right of the cutting line."

1. Enabling snapping helps. 2. Do not place the points near the edge of a polygon when using the Cut Polygons tool (may also sacrifice accuracy). Instead, place the point outside the polygon and finish the sketch.Steps to Reproduce
