Bug
In ArcGIS Server 10.8.1, the Web Map Service (WMS) capability shows a suffix on the layer name if the map layer name contains a space.

Additional Information
When the 'Use layer names from the map' check box is checked, ensure every layer in the map is given a unique ID. The number appended to the value in <Name> gives the layer a unique ID.Workaround
Use ArcGIS Server 10.7.1 and earlier.
