In ArcGIS Pro, when the input for the Feature To Point tool is the resulting output of the Generate Grid From Area tool and the output is saved as a shapefile, the symbology is displayed as a polygon instead of a point.

Workaround

In the Feature To Point tool, export the points to a feature class instead of a shapefile.
