Additional Information

The 'Remove extra spaces' setting in the Maplex label expression settings works to remove or preserve extra space characters (U+0020 / ASCII 32), but not other whitespace characters such as em space, thin space, or ideographic space. To preserve trailing spaces in a label, replace other whitespace characters with the space character and uncheck 'Remove extra spaces' in the label expression settings.
