In ArcGIS Pro, performing a table join using a .xlsx worksheet with a numeric-based join field as the first column and keeping only matching records, results in the feature class attribute table being unable to select or zoom to features.

Additional Information

This issue is fixed in ArcGIS Pro 2.4 with new Excel support from the geodatabase team. For more information, refer to the help documentation: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/data/excel/work-with-excel-in-arcgis-pro.htm

Workaround

Save data in .csv format with the same data structure. None of the same issues are observed.
