In ArcGIS Pro, incorrect statistics are displayed for a selection of features if the selection is made prior to creating the field statistics chart and the data resides in an enterprise geodatabase.

Workaround

1. Open the chart properties, and make the selection in the map (this does not work in ArcGIS Pro 3.1).
2. Copy the data into a file geodatabase and conduct the workflow with it.

UPDATE (6/21/23): The performance enhancements can be disabled by setting a registry key, which is documented here: https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000027747

This allows users to view the correct selection statistics.
