In ArcGIS Pro 3.3.2, the Flow Direction (Spatial Analyst) tool outputs results using the DINF method even when the D8 option is selected.

Additional Information

The additional values are also part of D8 result (see explanation at the end) and values other than the set [1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128] mean flow direction is undefined. It's always recommended to run Fill tool first. If you do that, when you use the filled input to Flow Direction and specify D8, you obtain a raster that has values only within the set. Flow Direction DINF is very different - this is a floating-point raster that can range from -1 to 360 (in degrees).
