In ArcGIS Pro 3.3.1, the Empirical Bayesian Kriging tool fails and returns the 999998 error if the input features are created using the Make XY Event Layer tool and the .csv file.

This issue is fixed in ArcGIS Pro 3.6.Workaround
Use the .csv file and the XY Table To Point tool.
