In ArcGIS Pro 3.2.1, the error message, "NameError: The attribute 'fields' is not supported on this instance of UniqueValueRenderer" is returned when setting the field for UniqueValueRenderer.

The issue is tested in ArcGIS Pro 3.4, and the error is not reproducible. The append function does not copy features. If the issue persists, contact Esri Support Services.
