Additional Information
Issue not reproduced in ArcGIS Pro 2.7.2. It is not recommended to clip large geometries. The user interface warns of slow performance when clipping with a shape with more than 20,0000 vertices. Using a generalized version of the geometry of even one where all states are merged and then generalized would provide better performance. For raster cases, the raster could be masked in geoprocessing conversion to clip pixels to the output.
Workaround
Use the Clip Raster tool.
