In ArcGIS Online when only a hosted table is published, it fails to display in the Table of Contents in ArcMap when added using the 'Add Data From ArcGIS Online' option.

Additional Information

To view a table from a service, switch the Table of Contents option to 'List by Source' option.

Workaround

Add the service from the My Hosted Services folder in the Catalog pane.
