In ArcGIS Online, using the '<' or '>' signs in the description of the Metadata for all items removes everything after and before the symbols respectively in Description and Metadata.

The issue is not to be addressed in the current product plan.Workaround
- In the description of Metadata, when '>' is replaced by '>'
Input: Test1 > Test2
The output includes ‘>’. For example, Test1 > Test2.
- In the description of Metadata, when '<' is replaced by '<'
Input: Test1 < Test2
The output includes ‘<’. For example, Test1 < Test2.
