In ArcGIS Online, the point feature in a KML layer created using the Extract Data tool in Map Viewer is displayed as a red X in Map Viewer and on Google Earth.

Additional Information

This issue is not a Map Viewer bug. The Red X is the standard symbol used in KMLs when there is not picture image file accessible in a KML.

Workaround

Use the Layer To KML tool in ArcGIS Pro.
