In ArcGIS Online Map Viewer, layers fail to be symbolized based on Arcade expressions containing the Area or AreaGeodetic function used to symbolize the layer, and the following warning message is returned: "The layer is not providing enough information to change the drawing style."

Additional Information

This issue is not reproducible in ArcGIS Online Map Viewer.

Workaround

  • Use ArcGIS Online Map Viewer Classic.
  • Create the map with all the expressions in ArcGIS Online Map Viewer Classic.
