In ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.12, SimpleFillSymbol does not render for a spatial reference other than the default spatial reference (4326).

Additional Information

As a part of the performance optimization in ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.12, incorrect polygon geometries that do not follow the expected clockwise order no longer display. Polygon rings must be clockwise as counterclockwise rings are considered as holes. Refer to Release notes for 4.12 https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/latest/guide/release-notes/#breaking-changes.

Workaround

Switch the order of the polygon rings.
