In an ArcGIS collaboration workspace with data shared as copies, editing the source data cleans up the old versions in the enterprise geodatabase only for web editing workflows and not for desktop editing from ArcGIS Pro.

Additional Information

Unable to reproduce the behavior in ArcGIS Pro. There are some versions which are not removed after editing in the Portal for ArcGIS Map Viewer. However, these are removed during subsequent syncs.
