In a Portuguese Windows 10 operating system, when adding a field to the attribute table of a .tif file, an error message, "Error 000464: Cannot get exclusive schema lock. Either being edited or in use by another application or service" is returned.

This issue was not reproducible in-house and will not be addressed at this time. If the issue persists, contact Esri Support Services.

Workaround

The new field can be saved again regardless of the error. If the .tif file is located in a file geodatabase, the error is not returned.
