In a NetCDF file, if the dimensions include time, the following error message is returned in the Make NetCDF Raster Layer tool, "One or more dimensions are invalid."

Additional Information

The user data is not fully CF complaint which is required for netCDF data to work. The best solution is to resolve this issue from the source.

Workaround

Use the Multidimensional Raster Layer option in the Add Data drop-down menu on the Map tab.
