Question: When I share a hosted feature layer view with editor tracking enabled and a field definition, the item is shared as a reference rather than a copy. Why is this happening?
Answer: A hosted feature layer view with editor tracking enabled can only be shared as a copy if each of the editor tracking fields is included in the view field definition. Editor tracking fields include created_user, created_date, last_edited_user and last_edited_date.
Workaround
Keep the editor tracking fields enabled for the hosted feature layer view.
