Not reproducible in the latest build. If you are still encountering this issue, please contact Esri Technical Support.

Workaround

Workaround 1. Use the Project Raster tool to project the raster to an SDE geodatabase. Workaround 2. Import the JP2 into a file geodatabase and then copy and paste into SDE.
