Importing an Excel file with a date field in ArcGIS Business Analyst does not maintain the date values or date format, and instead displays a number which is not associated with the date.

Additional Information

The behavior is no longer reproducible in the latest version of ArcGIS Business Analyst Web App. After importing an Excel file which includes a date field, the date values are formatted when viewing attributes in the web app. Contact Technical Support if the issue persists.

Workaround

  • Save the Excel file as a CSV file and add the data displays the correct dates in the attribute table and pop-up window.
  • Create a hosted feature layer in ArcGIS Online from the Excel file and import it to ArcGIS Business Analyst displays the correct dates.
