Bug
Image service (Mosaic dataset) is not healed after a network interruption if the data is on the file geodatabase located in File Share. If the dataset is on the Enterprise geodatabase, the healing process works as expected.

It is a generic ArcGIS Server feature to periodically check and repair invalid data connections. The issue that is described must be a known limitation. Use Enterprise geodatabase as the healing process works as expected or move the dataset to a local drive to help take the network (network interruption) out of the picture.
