Image service identify returns the error message "Unable to complete operation. The group is invalid" when a Cloud Raster Format (CRF) mosaic dataset created from NetCDF rasters is used. The identify operation works correctly on the original NetCDF rasters.

Workaround

Use the NetCDF mosaic dataset instead of the Cloud Raster Format (CRF) mosaic dataset to retrieve pixel values with the Identify tool.
