Additional Information

This vertex creator issue is fixed in DI for ArcGIS Pro 3.0 FME Engine 2022.1.0.2 (20220518 - Build 22343) "... the default Mode is changed to ‘Replace with Point’ and an additional ‘Ignore Duplicated Coordinates’ parameter is available when the mode is set to ‘Add Point’". For additional reference: https://community.safe.com/s/article/Known-Issue-VertexCreator-creates-lines-instead-of-points.

Workaround

With simple CSV or Excel to point operations that have obvious coordinates, the app auto-identifies the coordinate attributes and use them to automatically create a point in the output if the output feature is a point. The workaround is to not use a Vertex Creator following these format readers when the geometry is already created.
