Bug
If the length of a field name in a table exceeds the field limit, then the field name cannot be edited using the Backspace button, and the field name must be selected with the cursor before using the Backspace or Delete button to modify the name.

- . Open the Fields view of the table by clicking the Fields button from the Design group in the Data tab.
- Highlight the field name with the cursor and press the Backspace or Delete button.
