If the globe service is an elevation service in the Services Directory for globe services (and entries for globe services in ArcGIS Online), the LYR file that gets automatically generated when the user clicks 'View in ArcGlobe' (or 'Open in ArcGIS Desktop' in ArcGIS Online) should be have 'layer provides elevation values to the globe surface' property checked. Currently when ArcGlobe users add a globe service containing elevation into ArcGlobe from ArcGIS Online or a Services Directory, the services gets added into the Draped section in the Globe TOC instead of the Elevation section.
