If a required field is added to a hosted feature layer using the ArcGIS Solutions tool in ArcGIS Pro, data is unable to be added to the view of the hosted feature layer in ArcGIS Online.

Workaround

  1. Export the hosted feature layer as a file geodatabase.
  2. Open ArcGIS Pro.
  3. Use the ArcGIS Pro design features to add the required field.
  4. Overwrite the existing hosted feature layer or publish a new copy.
