Additional Information

This is a known limitation. ArcGIS GIS Server is unable to modify the paths to a mosaic dataset. This must be done using the following tools manually: http://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/tool-reference/data-management/export-mosaic-dataset-paths.htm http://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/tool-reference/data-management/repair-mosaic-dataset-paths.htm

Workaround

Reference the images in the mosaic dataset through the Linux path. This means that a checkerboard displays in ArcMap, but the images shows up in the service.
